Pakistani-American drowns at beach

Younas was enjoying in water with his children when suddenly a huge wave swept them away

A Pakistani-American national drowned while swimming at the Sea View beach on Sunday.

SSP Imran Qureshi said that Shahbaz Younus had gone to the beach with his two sons from a beachfront apartment block.

Younas was enjoying in the water with his children when suddenly a huge wave swept them away. A resident of the apartments saw them, and alerted the security guard who leapt in the water for rescue.

The guard brought Younas and his sons ashore and they were rushed to hospital. However, Younas could not survive, while his two sons were under treatment.
