An unidentified group of suspects attempted to rape a seven-year-old girl, before strangling her to death and dumping her body in fields. Dozens of the murdered girl’s relatives protested the police’s failure to arrest the accused by blocking Samundari road.
The Punjab chief minister, IGP, RPO and CPO took notice of the incident and sought a report. Three teams led by SSP Investigations are conducting raids to find the accused. Police detained a suspicious individual to begin the investigation.
Around 8:00pm on Tuesday, the seven-year-old daughter of Imran Khan was kidnapped by unknown suspects. Imran Khan, the kidnapped girl's father reported the abduction to police on Rescue 15, at which point they filed a case against the unidentified accused under Section 363 PPC and began searching for them.

Early on Wednesday morning, a tortured body that had been strangled to death by unknown suspects had been found in the harvest field. It was also clear that the victim had been sexually assaulted. The victim was found dead with partially naked scratch marks on her body. Police transferred her body to the Rural Health Center for a post-mortem examination.
The female doctor was nowhere to be seen five hours after the girl's body was sent to Rural Health for a post-mortem examination. Following the post-mortem examination of the deceased girl at Allied Hospital, the police officials handed over her body to her heirs.
