Sony's PS5 Slim to launch in November with removable disc drive

Sony has officially announced the launch of a new PS5 model called PS5 Slim in November.

The newly designed model has the same power on the inside but a better and lighter design. In a blog on its website, Sony mentioned, “The same technology features that make PS5 the best to play are packed into a smaller form factor, along with an attachable Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive and a 1TB SSD for more internal storage.”

The new model will replace both the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition. The prices for the new model will cost $499.99 with the drive included, while the PS5 Digital Edition is $449.99 in the US. It will be rolling out to other countries side by side. Once the inventory for the older models runs out, the new PS5 Slim will be solely available for the users.

The new model will be available in colours such as All matte Black colourway and the Deep Earth Collection colours in Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Sterling Silver.
