Police have arrested a man who allegedly tried to kill his three minor daughters by forcing them to consume rodenticide mixed in water. Luckily, the landlady hearing the screams of the girls, barged in to the room, helped the children escape to neighbours house and also called the police.
Surjani Town police station SHO Amjad Kiyani said that the landlady of a house in Surjani Town Sector 4b made a distress call to police helpline Madadgar 15 after hearing the screams of the girls. Kiyani rushed a police mobile to the spot, arrested the suspect and brought the girls to precinct to be kept in safe custody till their mother arrived.
SHO, sharing the details, said that the arrested accused had a verbal spat with his wife over something and his wife had left him.
After a while, the suspect tried to kill the girls by giving rat poison mixed in a bowl of water. Realising what their father was doing, the children started crying and screaming for help. Alarmed, the landlady reached the spot and not only stopped the accused from poisoning the girls but also immediately informed the police. According to the police, the arrested accused is addicted to drugs.
