SARGODHA:

Police investigators suspect that the medical superintendent and some other doctors of a hospital in Faisalabad had been implicated in a kidnapping and rape case to avenge departmental action taken by them against the complainant’s relatives.

A woman of Wazirpur in had alleged in her complaint filed on September 3 that Dr Sufyan, Dr Asif and three brothers Ahmed Bilal, Ikhlas Yousuf and Bilal Asif had abducted her 22-year-old daughter from Sahiwal at gunpoint, taken her to Faisalabad and raped her.

The police said it was revealed during the investigation that the complainant’s brother-in-law, Abid, was also a doctor in the Faisalabad Children’s Hospital who had been removed from his post on the charges of giving contracts related to the institution to his wife and embezzling millions of rupees.

Dr Abid was removed from his post and Dr Sufian was appointed the MS.

In order to blackmail the doctors serving after his removal, the couple with the connivance of the complainant lodged the FIR against the five men in the Sahiwal police station, an official said.
