Interim CM Mohsin Naqvi vows to adequately equip, fund police to affectively safeguard people of Mianwali district

Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi vowed on Monday to adequately equip and fund the police to affectively safeguard the people of Mianwali district.

Commending the bravery of the Mianwali police over repelling an attack on the Kundal outpost, he emphasised the need for continuous improvement, calling on the officials to remain vigilant for public safety.

During a visit to Kundal, he acknowledged the sacrifices made by the police and assured them of full financial support and necessary resources.

He outlined plans to strengthen police stations and checkpoints and implement transformative reforms in the department.

He said recruitment would be made to address the issue of staff shortage. He visited the home of Constable Haroon Rasheed Khan in the Biroli area who had laid down his life in the attack.

Strict security arrangements had been made for the visit to Mianwali of the caretaker CM and senior police officers.
