The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Doctors Association (PDA) remains resolute in its strike, stating that it will persist until all of its demands are met.
The strike, which has now entered its fourth week, continues to disrupt medical services in the region.
The PDA has recently announced upcoming protests at the Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex in Nowshera on Monday and at the Ayub Teaching Hospital in Abbottabad on Thursday. In a press statement, the PDA reiterates its commitment to conducting peaceful protests across all hospitals in the province. Among its key demands is an urgent salary increase for Trainee Medical Officers (TMOs) and House Officers (HOs), with a call for swift issuance of the necessary notification.
President of the PDA, Dr. Amir Taj Khan, emphasizes the need for the implementation of the Security Act of 2020 in all hospitals throughout the province.
He also highlights the importance of job security for faculty members in Medical Teaching Hospitals (MTIs), advocating that their promotions should adhere to the PMDC rules.
