An additional sessions judge in Yazman Tehsil awarded a death sentence to a woman in a double murder case.

According to the verdict given by Additional Session Judge Haider Ali Khan, the accused Madiha Zafar, a resident of Chak 110/DB, was convicted of 2 counts of murder and sentenced to death. The accused killed Umar Farooq and Maqboolan Bibi and set their dead bodies on fire.

The court in its verdict further ordered that the convict shall also pay Rs200,000 as compensation to the legal heirs of deceased. "In case of non-payment of the amount of compensations, she shall further undergo Six Month Simple Imprisonment", the court ordered.

The court further said that the accused Madiha Zafar was also convicted of u/s 201 of PPC and sentenced to undergo RI for seven (07) years with fine of Rs50,000. "In case of non-payment of fine, the convict shall further undergo Six Months SI", the court directed. The court ordered that Benefit of Section 382 (B) of the CrPC is also extended to the convict.
