Ahmed Sarym, the creative force behind the popular web series Midsummer Chaos, recently took a moment to address criticism and shed light on his plans for the show. A recent exchange on X (formerly Twitter) prompted the writer and director to challenge the criticism usually faced by the show.
The exchange occurred on X, where a user expressed their opinion about careers, stating, "Never force a career or you'll end up making Midsummer Chaos Season 2." In response, Sarym offered a thoughtful reply, encouraging a more constructive and supportive approach to criticism. He stated, "I hope you find your peace and realize that putting other artists down just because you don’t resonate with their art isn’t good enough to encourage a hater mentality. There’s enough room for everyone. Best."

Sarym's response emphasises the importance of fostering a culture of constructive feedback and support within the creative industry, where artists can thrive and express their unique perspectives without fear of undue criticism.
During his conversation with Hello Pakistan, Sarym shared his vision for Midsummer Chaos, a coming-of-age teenage drama that has received mixed reviews. The series dives into the lives of high school graduates in elite Islamabad and their transformative summer before college. The show has been lauded for its drama, thrills, and emotional rollercoaster and now has a second season to offer.
Sarym revealed his desire to revisit Midsummer Chaos. Having already explored the stories of adolescents in Islamabad and Lahore, he expressed his eagerness to bring forth the lives of young individuals in Karachi. However, he emphasised the need for patience, indicating that these plans would unfold in due time. "I would want to revisit Midsummer Chaos and complete it with a trilogy; I've told stories from both, Islamabad and Lahore. I'd love to bring forth the lives of adolescents in Karachi...but all in good time," said Sarym.
Midsummer Chaos has garnered a cult following since its inception. The first season was written and directed by Sarym, and the second season featured Ayesha Naveed as a writer. Qissa Nagri's YouTube channel provides an insight into the essence of Midsummer Chaos, describing it as a captivating teenage drama centred around the lives of high school graduates. It promises viewers a journey filled with drama, excitement, and a rollercoaster of emotions.
