Ali, Daniyal Zafar’s ‘Sushi//Woofer Paar De’ debuts with Rolling Stone

The brothers teased a preview of their song at their concert in Sydney

Popularly known singer and song-writer Ali Zafar teams up with fellow singer and younger brother Danyal, also known as Danny Zee, to bring cross-cultural elements with a Punjabi-trap fusion collaboration with Mykko Montana.

The hybrid tune, titled Sushi//Woofer Paar De debuts through Rolling Stone along with its music video, according to a press release. The video for the single displays a cross-cultural reference between Los Angles and Lahore as the Pakistani born singers take turns in the spotlight. The visuals showcase Danyal rapping his verses in a hot-tub surrounded by women while Ali, who sings the Punjabi mix of the song, sits amongst Pakistani women dawning traditional attire.

It seems that the brothers are currently fixated on integrating two vastly different cultures as they attempt to break into the world of western music. “My next big dream is to break into the international music scene as a Pakistani and Punjabi and [represent] this culture that has a lot of angst and has been through pain and agonizing realities,” Zafar tells Rolling Stone.

“It doesn’t have to always be East versus West. Maybe we’re all living in the same fu***** world,” Ali is reported to have said, according to a press release.

As the song only just releases, the brother duo has been teasing elements of it at their concert in Sydney, Australia as they displayed a sneak preview of their new music video. The two had since also taken to the social media platform of Instagram to share their sneak peek of the song with their followers back home.
