Model Neha Taseer, who is married to the late Punjab Governor, Salman Taseer’s son Shahbaz Taseer, recently took to Instagram to announce the birth of their second son, Salmaan Rafael Taseer. The couple did not previously disclose their pregnancy.
The announcement post consisted of a carousel of photographs from Neha’s maternity photoshoot. Clad in all-black ensemble and rocking a dramatic winged liner with otherwise minimal makeup, Neha looked both elegant and glamourous. The inspiration behind the photoshoot seemed to be old Hollywood glamour meets high fashion, as two of the pictures in the post featured baby daddy Shahbaz in a sophisticated black suit and tie, complete with crisp, white, collared dress-shirt.
Neha’s head-to-toe black outfit consisted of a maxi-length, strapless body-con dress that hugged her body and emphasised the size and shape of her baby bump. She styled the dress with a large, unstructured cape and long, black leather gloves that went all the way up her arms. Keeping the hair and makeup minimal, she simply opted for a slicked-back high bun, neutral eyeshadow, soft nude-pink lips, and a long-winged eyeliner look to add some drama to the eyes. The only accessories she paired with the outfit were dainty, silver, diamond studs and a chain-bracelet watch.
Alongside the pictures, Neha wrote: “We are overjoyed to welcome the newest member of our family, the greatest joy of my life, Salmaan Rafael Taseer. My sweet boy, may you be kind and loving like your big brother Shavez. We ae so in love with you already!”.
The Ukrainian-Pakistani model with 330 K followers on Instagram also posted more pictures to her profile from her maternity photoshoot. In her most-recent post, she can be seen cradling her baby bump as she clings to the glistening, satin-like fabric that covers her body from the shoulders down.
The soft-brown, satin garb seems to be just loose fabric that sways by her sides as she holds on to it in one frame, and is then expertly draped around her body in the form of a dress in the next two frames. Neha looks ethereal as she encloses her in her hands and looks straight into the camera with her doe eyes.
Whereas before, the satin fabric appeared to be a loose sheet simply held together by the wearer, now it is a proper dress with a twisted-one-shoulder strap. The asymmetrical style of the dress found in the singular strap also continues with the extra swathe of fabric that falls in elegant folds at the front and is then draped over one arm. Neha and Shahbaz got married in September 2021. The couple welcomed their first child, Shavez Ali Taseer, in May 2022.
