Railway inquiry number closed over non-payment of bill

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has closed railways inquiry number 117 set up to provide information about train operations due to non-payment of bill, sources said on Saturday.

The number on which 12 lines operate has been closed for the last 22 days due to which passengers are facing great difficulty.

The inquiry number was set up at the Lahore Railway Station to facilitate the travelers and inform them about the arrival and departure of trains.

The PTCL disconnected the number over payment of bill by the railways authorities.

Sources maintained that payment had not been paid despite the passage of 22 days.

Railways defaulted on the payment worth millions of rupees towards the PTCL.
