Staff blamed for ECG machine breakdown

An investigation into the malfunctioning of an ECG machine at the Kallar Syedan Tehsil Headquarters Hospital has been concluded, with the inquiry committee pinpointing nine staff members, including six nurses, as the individuals responsible for the breakdown.

The committee's verdict requires all implicated staff members to procure a new ECG machine for the hospital within one week at their own expense.

The malfunction of the ECG machine had led to significant disruptions in the hospital's emergency department, adversely affecting patients and their families. Following the incident, Medical Superintendent Dr Khalida initiated an inquiry to ascertain the root causes of the malfunction.

The inquiry committee's findings identified nine individuals deemed culpable for the malfunction of the ECG machine. Among them are Head Nurse Farhat Jabeen, Nurse Saba Muneer, Nurse Samina Akhtar, Nurse Tazila Bibi, Nurse Asia Naaz, Nurse Mehwish Matloob, Dispenser Mohammad Bilal, Dispenser Usman Alam, and Ward Boy Shahbaz Ali.

The committee's recommended course of action mandates that these nine staff members collectively contribute funds from their salaries to procure a new ECG machine for the hospital, a task they must accomplish within a strict one-week timeframe.
