The Balochistan caretaker government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Mardan Domki, has taken significant steps to streamline the administration and ensure a smooth transition towards the upcoming elections.
During a cabinet meeting attended by caretaker provincial ministers, the chief secretary, the inspector general of police, and administrative secretaries, several important decisions were made to uphold transparency and efficiency in the province.
One of the key directives issued at the meeting was for former provincial ministers, advisers, parliamentary secretaries, and coordinators to promptly return official vehicles and staff.
Chief Minister Domki emphasized the importance of this move, highlighting that it was essential to support the Election Commission of Pakistan in conducting clean and transparent elections.
Addressing the attendees, Domki expressed his confidence in the experienced individuals comprising his cabinet, setting high expectations for their performance.
He underscored the mandate of their caretaker government, which included facilitating free and fair elections and improving governance in the province.
Furthermore, the CM urged the ministers to enhance the governance and efficiency of their respective departments. He emphasized the importance of regular reporting to the Chief Minister’s office and active monitoring of departmental performance.
He encouraged collaboration among ministers to enhance the execution of government affairs.
In a bid to maintain a positive image for the caretaker provincial setup, Chief Minister Domki advised ministers not to make unreasonable demands from their departments. Additionally, he instructed them to swiftly reclaim the vehicles and staff previously used by former ministers, with an emphasis on eliminating unnecessary departmental expenses.
He stressed the importance of ministers working diligently in their offices and ensuring that departmental officers and officials adhered to office hours. This commitment to discipline and efficiency would set a strong example for the government’s functioning.
In a separate meeting with officers of the Chief Minister Secretariat, Domki reiterated the government’s primary responsibility to establish and maintain law and order in the province.
He emphasized that the caretaker government’s overarching mandate was to facilitate fair and transparent elections in a peaceful environment.
He highlighted the pivotal role of the chief executive’s office in addressing public concerns and urged officers to dedicate themselves to serving the province and its people.
Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Lal Jan Jafar, provided a comprehensive briefing on the Secretariat’s affairs, offering valuable insights to Chief Minister Domki.
“Our joint ventures will improve the execution of government affairs,” he remarked.
He asked the ministers not to make any demands from their departments which will create a negative impression about them and the caretaker provincial set-up.
Separately, Domki stressed officers to work hard to address legal issues of the public with the aim of providing maximum facilities to people in the province.
