HCCI deplores state of roads in SITE area

There are no streetlights, making the industrial zone vulnerable to criminal activities

HYDERABAD:

There are no streetlights in the Sindh Industrial and Trading Estate (SITE) Hyderabad making the industrial zone vulnerable to criminal activities, said the Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Adeel Siddiqui.

The representative of the industrial and business community expressed grave concern over the road infrastructure of Hyderabad Industrial Estate (SITE) and accused Sindh Industrial Trading Estate Company Limited of meting out step motherly treatment with Hyderabad.

He urged the Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (Retd) Baqar to take notice of maladministration in the SITE. In a statement on Monday, he said that industrial production is being badly affected due to discontinuity and suspension of amenities like electricity and gas supplies, a broken road network and a water supply system coupled.
