Over 300 corruption inquiries in various departments pending

Investigation of misappropriation of billions of rupees, illegal promotions, and fake recruitments is pending

More than 300 inquiries are going on for the last eight months at a slow pace. Investigation of mega corruption, misappropriation of billions of rupees, illegal promotions, and fake recruitments is pending. Inquiries into the illegal sale of government medicines, illegal constructions, and encroachment are also incomplete. Investigations into records tampering and amusement park construction scams have not been completed yet. Investigation of Rs3.5 billion corruption in Noshehro Feroze M6 Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway has not been met.

According to documents available to The Express Tribune, the inquiry of Rs6.7 billion corruption in 23 district councils could not be completed.

An investigation into corruption of billions of rupees for illegal recruitment is also going on in the Matiari Town Committee.

An investigation report of the corruption of billions of rupees in Directorate of Primary Schools Shaheed Benazirbad is also awaited. Cases of corruption worth billions of rupees against the former secretary of the Social Welfare Department are also pending.

The inquiry into the corruption of billions in the food department is also delayed. The corruption investigation in the health, irrigation, agriculture, and food departments was also delayed. Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Sindh Building Control Authority, Karachi Works and Services Department, encroachment inquiry has not been completed yet.

The inquiry report on illegal recruitment and promotions at the KMC Hospital is still awaited. The investigation of mega corruption against the officers of the Mirpurkhas Division's agriculture department has not been completed.
