ISLAMABAD:

Ambassador of Portugal in Pakistan, Frederico Silva, has said Pakistan’s culture is its identity as it reflects the country’s history and local customs.

“The craft fairs reflect the talents in a rich way,” Silva expressed these views while addressing the participants of an event named “Craft Bazar” held by a private hotel in collaboration with the Nomad Art Gallery in Islamabad. Nomad Art Gallery Chairperson Nageen Hayat was also present at the event.

Portugal’s Ambassador Silva said: “Pakistan’s culture is unique and incomparable. How Pakistani artists create their masterpieces cannot be described in words.”

Nagin said in today's era of inflation, such craft markets are beneficial to encourage skilled workers.

Handcrafted items by artisans from different regions were beautifully presented in a fascinating display of Pakistani cultures at the craft bazaar.

Sellers of handicrafts made by expert artisans said Pakistani cultures have been presented through the craft bazaar and the items are being appreciated by the people.

The exhibition included ajrak, block print dresses, Kashmiri embroidery and shawls, silver jewellery, pottery and truck art among other useful items.
