Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry has taken a stern stance against attempts to employ dishonest tactics in the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT).
It has come to his attention that certain aspiring candidates were detected trying to employ bluetooth-enabled, pocket-sized devices connected to micro earpieces during the examination.
Thanks to the diligent oversight and vigilance of the examination staff, more than 40 students were apprehended both before entering the examination halls and within various testing centers. These electronic devices were promptly confiscated, and the candidature of the implicated students was subsequently annulled.
The chief secretary has issued directives for both the police and the Special Branch to conduct comprehensive investigations into this matter. This includes thorough questioning of the students involved, as well as their parents and any other individuals linked to this illicit network.
The aim is to uncover the full extent of the wrongdoing and to take appropriate legal action against those responsible.
Furthermore, it was underscored that there should be absolutely no tolerance for misconduct.
