Retired cop kills wife, neighbour during heated argument

The mother of eight was reportedly trying to intervene a brawl between two retired cops

HYDRABAD:

A retired policeman shot and killed his wife and a neighour following a dispute concerning a neighbourhood passage in Khalifa Mohalla of Noshehro Feroze city on Saturday.

As per details, Ghulam Abbas Langha allegedly shot and killed his wife, Noor Bano, and a neighbour, identified as police constable Gul Sher Langha, during the violent brawl. Noor Bano, a mother of eight, was reportedly trying to intervene when the fatal shooting took place.

According to Mujeebur Rehman, SHO Moro police station, the tragic incident started with a heated argument, after which Ghulam Abbas critically shot and injured Gul Sher, who succumbed to his injuries while being transported to People's Medical Hospital in Benazirabad district.

The situation escalated as Ghulam Abbas, in a fit of rage, turned his weapon on his wife, who was trying to prevent further violence. Tragically, she also lost her life.

Police have apprehended the suspect and recovered the weapon used in the crime.

The FIR could not be registered till the filing of this dispatch.
