‘Diriliş: Ertuğrul’ star Esra Bilgic turns heads in two stunning looks at Venice Film Festival
Esra Bilgic was a sight to behold as she attended day nine of the 80th Venice International Film Festival to watch the screening of the Italian-Swiss drama film Lubo. Stepping out on the red carpet in a figure-accentuating, black, floor-length gown, the Turkish actor had heads turning and paparazzi camera flashes going haywire.
For the premiere, Esra chose a fully-beaded, monotoned, black dress by British-Cypriot fashion designer Rasit Bagzibagli. The dress was covered from head to toe in shiny longitudinal glass beads that reflected light and created a glistening, almost fresh-out-of-water mermaid affect. The sleek, figure-hugging silhouette drew emphasis to the starlet’s curves and displayed the impeccable stitching of the Rasit Bagzibagli atelier that is backed by a legacy family business and 66-year-old luxury fabric company by the name of Bagzibagli.
Despite the predominantly straightforward silhouette, there was an element of a slightly flared and trailing hem that added dimension to the fall of the gown. A deep plunging and rounded neckline was the perfect choice for the overall look, as it created ample space for Esra to show off the Boucheron jewellery pieces adorning her neck and ears.
The diamond encrusted neck-piece and dangling earrings were the perfect accessory to add some final sparkle to the black glittery number donned by the hazel-eyed beauty. The semi-chevron design of the necklace was replicated on the earrings and supplemented with teardrop motifs at the ends.
In addition to the diamond studded jewellery pieces, Esra styled her outfit with matching black and silver pointed-toe pumps, a brown smokey fox-eye, a nude lip, and the trending 90’s supermodel messy half-updo hairstyle with wispy strands framing her face. As she walked the red carpet, she was also seen holding a single red rose that added the perfect pop of color and aura of romance and charm to her all-black, old-Hollywood-glamour look.
Another eye-catching look that the Turkish star wore during the festivities at Venice was an all-red cocktail dress by Rasit Bagzibagli. The strapless dress was free of embellishments but could hardly be seen as your typical plain red dress. The entire torso of the dress was stitched in a corseted silhouette and the glistening, satin fabric was done up in minute overlaps to create an intricate, almost-geometrical design all across the bodice and abdomen. From the corset top of the dress flowed a short-length, pleated, flowy skirt made of the same fabric. The fitted top-half of the dress and the flared-out skirt created dimension and added intrigue to a dress archetype that has been seen many-a-times at festivals and red carpet events. Esra chose to keep the styling of the look simple by just accesorising the outfit with a pair of red, strappy stilettos.
