It seems wedding bells are in season for American pop singer Charlie Puth. The celebrity left many excited for his impending nuptials when he announced his engagement with girlfriend – and “best friend” – Brooke Sansone.
With over seventeen million followers on his Instagram, the Attention singer shared the good news in an unexpected post to his social media, sharing a series of rather adorable pictures cosied up to his now-fiancé. While the first shows the couple taking a selfie, sharing a glass of wine and gleefully showing off Brooke’s ring to the camera, the others have them sharing a pizza, with a closer look at the impressive pear-cut rock on her finger.
Under the series of photographs, the We Don’t Talk Anymore singer penned a warm caption in celebration, revealing how he had flown out to New York to propose. The singer expressed his happiness and took the time to declare his affection to Sansone publicly. He wrote, “I flew to New York to ask my best friend to marry me, and she said yes. I am the happiest, best version of myself, and it is all because of you, Brookie. I love you endlessly, forever and ever and ever.”
While the duo’s relationship timeline is unclear, Puth revealed that the two were long-affiliated friends on an appearance on The Howard Stern Show.
When asked by the host if he thought “this was it,” the singer had immediately responded in the affirmative at the time. He gushed, “She’s always been very, very nice to me. I would assume that when times are inevitably hard in the future – because what is life without valleys and peaks – she would be there for me as well."
The pair confirmed their relationship in 2022 with an Instagram post shared on the singer’s birthday, later publicly debuting their love at Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy Gala in Los Angeles.
