Three sisters murdered at home in Jhelum

At least four unidentified persons entered the residence, opened fire

JHELUM:

At least four people – including three sisters – were murdered inside their homes in the Langarpur village of Jhelum, police said on Wednesday.

According to sources, at least four unidentified persons entered the residence late Tuesday night and opened fire.

The three sisters were murdered as was the husband of one of the sisters who was also inside the house. The women were identified as Rabia, Shumaila and Aasia, said to be daughters of Baba Afzal. Two children were said to be in the house at the time of the incident but remained unhurt.

A heavy contingent of police was dispatched to the area after the murders were reported.

Police said a case had been registered and an investigation was underway.
