Six more Balochistan caretaker ministers take oath

Caretaker CM Domki revealed that the initial cabinet could have around 13 members, with the possibility of expansion

In the second phase, a six-member caretaker Balochistan cabinet was sworn in on Wednesday evening.

Balochistan Governor Malik Abdul Wali Kakar administered the oath to the newly appointed caretaker cabinet.

Balochistan Caretaker Chief Minister Ali Mardan Domki, provincial ministers, senior officials and people belonging to various walks of life also attended the oath-taking ceremony.

The caretaker ministers include Nawabzada Jamal Raisani, Dr Amir Muhammad Khan Jogezai, Amanullah Kanrani, Sheikh Mehmoodul Hassan and Sardar Ejaz Jaffar.

The caretaker chief minister has awarded the health portfolio to Amanullah Kanrani, law and parliamentary affairs to Nawabzada Jamal Raisani, sports and youth affairs to Asifur Rehman, intra-provincial coordination to Sheikh Mehmoodul Hassan and the population portfolio to Sardar Ejaz Jaffar.

A five-member Balochistan cabinet had been sworn in on August 22 which had included cabinet ministers Prince Ahmed Ali, Amjad Rasheed, Jan Achakzai, Captain (retd) Zubair Jamali and former Mir Chakar Khan Rind University vice-chancellor Abdul Qadir Baloch.

Balochistan Caretaker CM Domki revealed that the initial cabinet could have around 13 members, with the possibility of expansion.

He expressed a commitment to peaceful and transparent elections as the government’s foremost concern.
