Earthquake tremors were felt in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) including the provincial capital Peshawar, Express News reported.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 5.2 with a depth of 184 kilometres. The epicentre of the earthquake is reported to be around the Hindu Kush mountain range.
Tremors were felt in Chitral, Lower Dir, Upper Dir, Bajaur, Batkhela tehsil and other areas.
In Lower Dir, where the tremors were felt more acutely, the earthquake caused panic in educational institutions, fear and panic also spread among the people due to the tremors.

No loss of life or property has been reported as yet.
Earlier this month, earthquake tremors were felt in various parts of the country including the federal capital Islamabad. Peshawar, Bajaur and Lower Dir were affected in the 5.8 magnitude quake as well.
The quake, with the epicentre recorded 47 kilometres southwest of Jurm in neighbouring Afghanistan, was at a depth of 207 kilometres.
It also affected Lahore, Peshawar, Haripur, Sheikhupura, and Rawalakot, amongst other areas of the country.
