Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, the sisters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan, on Friday moved the Islamabad High Court to meet their brother, who has been incarcerated in Attock District Jail since Aug 5.
Aleema and Uzma have made the Federation respondent in the petition
They pleaded the court to issue directives to the Federation to allow them to meet their brother.
“We went to meet our brother, former prime minister Imran Khan, in Attock jail on Thursday, but the superintendent did not allow us to meet him,” the petition stated, pleading the court to issue directives to the superintendent to allow their brother to meet his sisters.
Talking to the media outside the IHC, Aleema and Uzma said, “They faced a problem at high court. We have heard that the lawyer’s stomach is upset and he is bed-ridden.”
Indicating that the lawyer deliberately made an excuse to not appear before the court, they said as long as the PTI chairman was in jail, his stomach would remain upset.

They demanded of him to apologise to the nation for not being able to deliver justice. They also claimed that the “high court and the Supreme Court are helpless”.
They said, “Protection of the PTI chairman is the responsibility of authorities. The responsibility lies with the authorities till the end of this stomach-churning drama. A ping-pong game is being played.”
Aleema said, “Now that I have spoken, will they put me in jail? Put all of us in jail.”
Aleema said that four cases had been registered against her and six against Uzma. “We have packed our bags … put us in jail also.” But remember, she said, the PTI chief will not bow. “He has got time. He is reciting the Holy Quran.”
She said, “The court has assured us that there will be an opportunity to meet [Imran] on Monday. If the permission is not given on Monday, we will stage a sit-in outside the Attock jail.”
They, without naming anyone, she said, come to the “Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centres and the National University of Modern Languages to harass us”.
Aleema claimed that different sources were sent to the PTI chief to convince him to flee the country, but Imran replied that “no one leaves their own home”.
