Ali Mardan Domki, the Caretaker Chief Minister of Balochistan, has unveiled a plan to enhance the green bus service in the provincial capital.
During an impromptu visit on Wednesday morning, the caretaker chief minister personally experienced the green bus service, engaging with passengers to understand their concerns.
Domki assured the passengers, particularly the women, of an expansion in the number of buses and the coverage of more areas. This initiative aims to maximize public convenience and alleviate transportation challenges.
Senior officials from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat accompanied Domki during his visit.
Recognizing the importance of extended operational hours, Domki instructed the transport department to extend the bus service by an hour in the evening, now concluding at 8pm instead of 7pm.
He commended the green bus service as a standout achievement of the former provincial government.
Expressing his commitment to further improvements, Domki pledged to extend the green bus service to additional parts of the city to encompass a wider range of routes.
He directed the Transport Secretary to promptly draft and present an expansion plan, signaling the swift implementation of this initiative.
Chief Minister Domki emphasized that safe and comfortable travel is a fundamental right of every citizen.
