Party leaders call on Bilawal
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday spent a busy day at Bilawal House as he held meetings with the party leaders throughout the day and discussed the country's political situation as well as his party's organisational matters with them.
According to the statement issued by the Media Cell at Bilawal House, former federal minister for poverty alleviation and social safety PPP Central Information Secretary Shazia Mari called on the party chairman and apprised him about the performance of her ministry during the last 16 months. Senator Raza Rabbani called on Bilawal. In the meeting, the overall political situation of the country was discussed. Meanwhile, former Sindh minister for labour and human resources Saeed Ghani also called on the PPP Chairman at Bilawal House.
Among those who called on Bilawal, former Sindh agriculture minister Manzoor Wassan was also included. Barrister Hallar Wassan, son of Manzoor Wasan, was also present.
Former Sindh excise and taxation minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla also called on the PPP chairman and apprised him about the performance of his department. Bilawal was met by Lal Bux Bhutto, in-charge of PPP Research and Coordination Cell, in which the upcoming elections and the political situation of Sindh were discussed.
Former Sindh minister Nadeem Bhutto was also present.
Former irrigation minister Jam Khan Shoro also met Bilawal and informed him about the political situation in Hyderabad. Hyderabad Mayor Kashif Shoro was also present.
Among those who called on the PPP chairman was Karachi's Ibrahim Hydari Town Municipal Corporation Chairman Nazir Ahmed Bhutto. During the meeting, he briefed the party chairman on public issues and measures to solve them.
Meanwhile, the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the PPP would meet in Karachi on Friday to discuss the ongoing political situation in the country, said a party statement issued here on Tuesday.
It said that members of the PPP-CEC had been asked to ensure there attendance at the meeting on Aug 25 at 3pm at the Bilawal House in Karachi. “The latest situation of the country will be discussed in the meeting,” it added.
