We aren't surviving this: Internet reacts to Fawad, Mahira's stunning photo-shoot

Do you know what's pretty rare? A Fawad Khan sighting. Let's be real, we see less and less of him as the years go by, and it's truly unfair. And - do you know what's rarer than a Fawad sighting? A Fawad and Mahira Khan sighting. That's right. It's like the lead pair from Humsafar collectively decided amongst themselves to leave the audience wanting more after a show that aired quite literally more than a decade ago. But it's okay. It makes eventual sightings that much more special, one can suppose. 

The duo was recently seen looking their absolute best for Sadaf Fawad Khan's clothing studio. What started with a little silhouette tease moment eventually snowballed into some choice individual shots, finally culminating in the one image that restored a bit of lost serotonin for many Pakistanis. That's right - Fawad and Mahira posed together for some pictures, and the internet needs some time to recuperate.

"Everybody, Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan!" said one X user, announcing the duo like the Lollywood royalty they are. "We aren't surviving this," said yet another X user and fan of the pairing. Another user of the site formerly known as Twitter stated, "Seeing Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan together does wonders for my serotonin levels." 

Some were so moved that they broke into poetry on the internet. "Timeless allure, Fawad and Mahira's reign, their scorching chemistry sets hearts ablaze, a fiery flame!" said one user of the micro-blogging site, so moved by the spectacle before them that they felt compelled to pen those words of praise. Another X user kept things simple, sharing an image of the two from the shoot and saying, "One of the most beautiful pairs," adding a heart-eye emoji at the end. 

Another X user shared the same image of the duo with the text, "Fawad and Mahira…World, stop." And stop it did, for when the shoot came out and people saw Pakistan's most beloved on-screen pair together, we all needed a minute. "Fawad Khan is the only man who can come close to Mahira's beauty in a frame," said another fan, leaving very little room for disagreement.

Fawad and Mahirah collaborated to unveil the Phir Milenge Bridal Couture collection by Sadaf. The caption for the post read, "The elegance of this collection intends to capture the essence of the brand's design ethos - Refined and exclusive." The collection was beautifully captured by Abdullah Haris. Honestly, props to the whole team. Pakistanis received a gift they didn't as for, but needed, and most of us are, undoubtedly, grateful.

The duo was last seen together onscreen in Bilal Lashari's The Legend of Maula Jatt. Fawad and Mahira are soon to return to the cinemas with their upcoming film, Neelofar.  "I had so much fun working on this project with Fawad," the Raees star had previously shared. "It had been so long. Neelofar is just about these two people, it is very different from our characters in Maula Jatt. In Neelofar, it's just the two of us, all our scenes are with each other. It was just so great to be back with Fawad as older, more mature actors and people."

She went on to share that not just the audience, but the director of the film also shared similar thoughts on her and Fawad's onscreen pairing - he loves it! "My director always said you guys make a really good team. I asked him why thinks that is so? He just says that it is a nice balance. We really hope that we still have the same chemistry as Humsafar," said Mahira.
