Man arrested for murder of wife, daughter
A man has been arrested in the Gauharwala area of Mankera tehsil on charges of murdering his wife and daughter over a domestic dispute.
The suspect, Sabir Hussain, reportedly had a heated altercation with his wife over a minor issue.
In a fit of rage, he attacked his wife with a screwdriver, inflicting fatal wounds that claimed her life on the spot. Their 10-year-old daughter, Fatima, attempted to shield her mother from the violent onslaught, but she too fell victim to the attack, suffering severe injuries.
Fatima was rushed to the district headquarters hospital in Bhakkar, where doctors tried to treat her. Her injuries, however, were grave and the decision was made to transfer her to Nishtar Hospital in Multan for specialised treatment. For three days, the young girl clung to life, battling her injuries, but ultimately, she succumbed to her injuries.
The Bhakkar police apprehended Sabir from the scene of the attack. A case was registered against him at the Mankera police station and investigation was launched.
