Five US national who were sentenced to 15 years imprisonment each by the Sargodha Anti terrorism Court have filed an appeal in the Lahore High Court (LHC) against the conviction.
Counsel for the five US nationals Hasan Dastagir argued that the conviction should be overturned because it did not take into account evidence provided by the defence.
He said the court will set a date to hear the appeal in a few days.
The US nationals were sentenced to 15 year imprisonment and Rs70,000 fine by the Sargodha Anti-terrorism Court on two charges including links with militants. They were arrested from Sargodha on terrorism charges.
