Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) reported a distressing incident in Dera Murad Jamali, Nasirabad district of Balochistan, where five individuals lost their lives due to electrocution.
The incident was attributed to a technical fault in a transformer, resulting in a fatal accident that claimed the lives of five people, including a 60-year-old individual. In response to the tragedy, QESCO’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Engineer Abdul Karim Jamali, took notice of the incident and initiated an investigation. The CEO’s swift action led to the suspension of the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) and Line Superintendent responsible for the area.
Additionally, the Chief Engineer, Operation Director, and representatives from the Safety Directorate were directed to assess the scene and furnish a comprehensive report for further action. The inquiry committee is tasked with determining accountability for the incident, ensuring that those responsible are identified and held accountable for the tragic occurrence.
