Police claim domestic dispute is behind crime

MULTAN:

Four people were killed in separate incidents in the district, police said.

They said that one Shumaila Bibi had had an altercation with her husband Muhammad Waris a few days ago. Shumaila Bibi told her brothers, Muhammad Nadeem, Wasim and Hamza about the incident.

They allegedly attacked Waris when he was collecting fodder in the fields in retaliation for the dispute with their sister, police said.

They beat him to death and then hanged his body from a tree somewhere near 76/GB, police said.

People alerted police after spotting the victim’s body hanging from the tree.

The Saddar Police reached the spot and removed the body from the tree and handed it over to its heirs after the postmortem examination and started legal action against the suspects.

Meanwhile, in Bhawana, Chiniot district, Bushra, daughter of Shazia Bibi, had been married four days ago. Her brother Abrar Ali was not happy. When Bushra arrived home to see her mother, her brother, Abrar Ali, allegedly shot his sister in the head after a minor argument, gravely injuring her, police said.

She was rushed to a hospital where she passed away.
