Is Salman Khan's 'Tiger 3' venturing into Pakistan?

Reports suggest a trip to this side of the border may be on the cards for Tiger

Bollywood is abuzz with excitement as news emerges that the next instalment of the popular Tiger franchise, titled Tiger 3, is set to captivate audiences with a tale of espionage, rivalry, and patriotism. Inspired by the resounding success of Sunny Deol's portrayal of Tara Singh in Gadar 2, Salman Khan takes on the role of Tiger, also known as Avinash Singh Rathore, once more in this much-anticipated film.

According to Bollywood Hungama, following in the footsteps of Deol's film's success, Khan is gearing up to cross borders in Tiger 3. Tiger, a central figure in the YRF Spy Universe, is set to embark on a mission that leads to an epic face-off between India and Pakistan. Emraan Hashmi, portraying the ISI agent Aatish, is poised to challenge Khan's Tiger, promising a high-octane clash that will undoubtedly set the screen ablaze.

Insiders have revealed that Tiger 3 will feature an electrifying confrontation between the two spy agents, bringing together a mix of adrenaline-pumping action and intense drama. The film's director, Maneesh Sharma, is crafting the story to showcase the fierce rivalry and patriotism that drive the characters, echoing the resonating themes of Gadar 2.

“The story of Tiger 3 is devised in a way that leads to an epic face-off between India and Pakistan. While Salman Khan plays Tiger in Tiger 3, he will be facing off Emraan Hashmi’s ISI turn of Aatish in Tiger 3. It’s going to be fireworks on the screen as two spy agents from India and Pakistan are ready for an epic blast this Diwali," revealed a source to Bollywood Hungama. A teaser of Tiger 3 is anticipated to be unveiled alongside the release of Jawan. The source further said, “YRF is confident that the epic RAW vs ISI battle in Tiger 3 will set the box office on fire. Much like Tara Singh, even Tiger is among the most iconic characters of Indian Cinema, and the common thing that links them is Pakistan,"

The film is set to release during the Diwali weekend of 2023, and fans can expect an ensemble cast including Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Hashmi in leading roles. Furthermore, Shah Rukh Khan will make an extended cameo appearance, heightening the anticipation for the film. One of the most anticipated moments in Tiger 3 is the collaboration of two Bollywood giants, in an extravagant action sequence. Reports suggest that an opulent set, valued at astonishing INR35 crores, has been meticulously designed to serve as the backdrop for this high-energy showdown.

A source shared insights into the grandeur of this sequence, saying, “When you have Shah Rukh Khan and Salman in one film, you got to do justice to their superstardom to create an experience like never before. Pathaan did that brilliantly and now Tiger 3 will try and do the same. The two iconic actors are going to do a hugely scaled adrenaline-pumping action sequence in Tiger 3 and Aditya Chopra is going all out to mount this sequence. He is shelling out INR35 crores to build a set that can present this sequence in the most glorious way possible,”

In Gadar 2, Deol's portrayal of Singh, who ventures into Pakistan to rescue his son, struck a chord with millions of Indian viewers. The film's box office earnings soared, reaching a staggering INR134 crores within the first three days of its release. Industry experts predict that Gadar 2 will soon join the coveted INR200 crore club, achieving this milestone within just five days.
