Wipe it off: Internet thinks Ranbir is a 'red flag' after Alia's latest revelation

Actor has been deemed the same previously for numerous reasons

Entertainment Desk August 17, 2023

The internet is calling Ranbir Kapoor a "red flag" once again after wife Alia Bhatt's latest revelation about their relationship. In a video for Vogue India, Alia showed her method for applying lipstick and added that she tries to keep it minimal because her husband "doesn’t like it."

In the video, Alia demonstrated her method of gliding the lipstick on her lips, showing how she prefers to move her lips on the lipstick instead of moving the lipstick on her lips. She admitted it was an unusual method but that is what she finds convenient. She then wiped the lipstick off her lips, almost entirely because she wanted the faded look.

The actor explained, “Because one thing my husband…when he wasn't my husband but when he was my boyfriend as well… he would be like, ‘Wipe that off, wipe that off’ because he loves the natural colour of my lips.”

For Alia, it was a moment when she was sharing a cute detail about her relationship with Ranbir, but netizens did not agree. Most people resorted to labelling him a "red flag", which is what the internet calls people who might not be conducive for the healthiest relationships. “The more I listen about Ranbir Kapoor the more I feel scared for her. If your boyfriend/husband is telling you to wipe your lipstick [off] that is the biggest sign for you to run! It is not cute or funny at all! Cannot believe the most celebrated actress at this moment in India is going through this,” wrote a user in the comments section.

Another user stated, “I would never allow a guy who asks me to wipe off my lipstick anywhere close to me." Yet another user said, "I can't believe a top actress of her time rubs off her expensive lipstick because her 'boyfriend/husband' tells her to rub it off."

Twitter reaction were also equally unwelcoming. One user reacted by saying "If you see tweets about the Alia lipstick situation you’ll notice how people assume Alia is being “abused” (we know nothing) and are still hating on HER for her decisions instead of shaming the ACTUAL abuser What kind of feminism is this & why is it always the woman who’s blamed?"

Another user said "Alia Bhatt's marriage can be an episode of Made in Heaven."

One user also commented the following: "The more I listen about #RanbirKapoor the more I feel scared for Alia. That's why Deepika & Katrina couldn't tolerate him. #AliaBhatt is vocal about the issues she is having in her relationship with Ranbir. She told that "He doesn’t like when my voice goes above this decibel because he thinks it's not fair. If your bf/husband is telling you to wipe your lipstick then it may be time to take action."

Previously, Alia and Ranbir faced similar comments over the fact that Ranbir "doesn’t like" her raising her voice during arguments. In an interview with Vice, Alia revealed, "I have to try very hard to control my anger because my husband does not like (it) when my voice goes above this decibel. Because he thinks it's not fair and it's important to be kind even when you are unhappy."

Alia and Ranbir tied the knot in April last year and are now parents to a daughter, Raha. In 2022, the pair also starred in their first film together, Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva.
