Land donated for Timergara University

Governor lauds Nawabzadas’ generosity and education advocacy

Nawabzada Sadruddin and Nawabzada Qutbuddin have once again demonstrated their commitment to education by donating an additional 20 kanal of land for Timergara University. This generous act follows their initial contribution of 88 kanal of land towards the establishment of the university.

Responding to a request from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali, the Nawabzadas have exemplified their dedication to uplifting education in the region.

In a meeting held on Wednesday, both Nawabzada Sadruddin and Nawabzada Qutbuddin, along with prominent figures such as Asfandyar Khan, Inayatullah, and Dr Zahoor Jan, convened with Governor Haji Ghulam Ali. Secretary of Higher Education Department Anila Durrani and Principal Secretary to Governor Mazhar Arshad were also in attendance.

Governor Ali expressed his profound gratitude to the Nawabzadas and other contributors for their unprecedented generosity.

He hailed their actions as a significant stride towards empowering the youth in remote and underserved regions. The governor emphasized that this benevolent gesture would not only elevate the accessibility of higher education but would also pave the way for progress and development.

In recognition of their remarkable dedication, Governor Ali presented commemorative gifts and shields to Nawabzada Sadruddin, Nawabzada Qutbuddin, and the members of the delegation.

Simultaneously, a high-level meeting centered on the allocation of land between Agricultural University Peshawar and the University of Engineering and Technology Mardan took place at the Governor’s House, presided over by Governor Ali. Attended by notable figures including Vice Chancellor Agricultural University Peshawar, Prof Dr Jahan Bakht, and Dean UET Mardan, Professor Dr Imran Khan, the meeting delved into comprehensive discussions regarding land distribution.

Governor Ali directed the involved universities to collaboratively identify the necessary land and create a detailed map outlining the allocation of the total 400 kanal of land. This step aims to ascertain the optimal utilization of space for each university’s needs.

Furthermore, Governor Ali instructed the committee, convened by the higher education department, to promptly address all pertinent matters associated with land distribution.
