Google Slides allows users to draw, annotate when presenting

To make the presentation more interactive and engaging, Google Slides has introduced the option of drawing and annotating the slides while presenting.

A pen tool is a new feature which lets you write, encircle key figures, draw arrows, underline important information or do anything on the slide in real-time while the user is presenting it.

Previously, Slides did allow the mouse pointer to be turned into a laser one, however, a third-party application was required to annotate the slides. The new pen tool is now built-in.

To use this feature, open the file in slideshow mode and move the cursor to the bottom left side to see the three-dot menu. Choose Turn on the pen from the drop-down menu. Users have the option to choose any of the four available colours such as black, red, blue or green. To erase any drawings or annotations, switch from the pen to the eraser tool in the bottom left corner.

The tool will be available to all Google Workspace customers and users with personal Google Accounts. It will be rolled out to all users in the next 15 days.
