Eip Trip: PM to celebrate Eid in home district

PM will offer Eid prayers in Islamabad and will arrive in the district after meeting with foreign diplomats.

MULTAN: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani is scheduled to arrive in Multan on Wednesday to celebrate Eidul Fitr with his family and friends. According to security officials, the prime minister will offer Eid prayers in Islamabad and will arrive in the district after meeting with foreign diplomats. MNA Makhdoom Javed Hashmi and former speaker of the National Assembly Syed Fakhar Imam will also celebrate Eid in the district. Strict security arrangements have been made for the prime minister’s visit and all mosques and prayer sites in the districts are also being closely monitored. Local officials said that the prime minister would conduct a brief tour of the district on the second day of Eid and distribute eidi and gifts among the poor.
