A purported diary attributed to Bushra Bibi, the wife of former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, has emerged, causing a stir in the political landscape of Pakistan.
The diary, reportedly containing directives and instructions allegedly given by Bushra to her husband, has ignited a heated discussion about the extent of her involvement in shaping political decisions of the deposed premier.
Excerpts from the diary have been widely circulated on television channels and social media platforms, quickly gaining viral attention. The entries claim that Bushra played a significant role in advising and guiding Imran's political strategy, including influencing decisions involving the judiciary, military, and government.
The alleged diary entries paint a picture of Bushra actively steering the course of PTI's political manoeuvres. She is said to have advised Imran to exert pressure on various state institutions, such as the judiciary and the army. The diary also reportedly outlines strategies for rallies, demonstrations, and public statements designed to apply pressure on the government and establishment.
One notable claim within the diary revolves around a particular prayer that Imran was instructed to recite, along with specific wordings that carried a rebellious tone. This has raised questions about the intersection of spiritual beliefs and political activities.

Meanwhile, renowned anchor person, analyst, and journalist Javed Chaudhry has come forward with a revelation that the much-discussed viral diary, circulating across media platforms, indeed belongs to Bushra.
Javed, who claimed to have personally seen the diary, shared astonishing details about its origin and content during a telephonic conversation with an anchorperson from Express News.
According to Javed's account, the diary in question was confiscated from Bushra during a police raid at Zaman Park – Imran’s residence in Lahore – on Aug 5.
The journalist asserted that he had seen the diary himself, describing it as a green diary with "2020" written on its cover. He noted that the diary was initially presented as a gift to Imran by a friendly country, and was subsequently handed over to Bushra.
The diary's entries reportedly contain an array of instructions and directives, ranging from party management strategies to Imran’s daily routine.
Javed stated that the diary covers specifics such as what Imran should eat in the morning, when he should drink water, and even when he should consume milk late at night.
The journalist also revealed that the diary includes recommended prayers and supplications for various times of the day.
Javed went on to mention that the diary includes detailed instructions regarding offering certain Nafl (voluntary) prayers with the five obligatory prayers and the recitation of specific prayers.
The journalist claimed that passport numbers and guidelines for Imran's speeches and news conferences are also present in the diary.
The journalist suggested that the diary paints a picture of Bushra exercising significant influence over the party's decision-making processes.
Javed highlighted that the entries even contain instructions on how Imran should address certain questions and topics during public appearances.
Remarkably, Javed revealed that the diary contains instructions to react strongly if the governor rule is imposed in Punjab, advocating for a nationwide shutdown.
The contents suggest that the judiciary should be put under immense pressure to avoid unfavourable decisions, and instructions are provided on engaging with lawyers, including specific mentions of Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial.
Addressing questions about the diary's authenticity, Javed noted that the writing style aligns with Bushra’s other writings, and personal data recorded in the diary could potentially be cross-referenced for verification. He hinted that even bank account numbers listed in the diary could potentially be validated.
