QUETTA:

The Balochistan Services Tribunal on Monday directed the provincial government to appoint the Quetta administrator within the next 15 days. This judgment was passed by Services Tribunal Chairman Naseebullah Tareen.

Senior lawyer Munir Ahmed Kakar appeared before the court on behalf of the former Quetta administrator Abdul Jabbar Baloch. The Balochistan government had transferred Jabbar Baloch from the post of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation administrator to the position of the Chief Minister Secretariat additional secretary earlier this year.

The government had appointed Tariq Javed Mengal as the Quetta Metropolitan Corporation administrator.

Jabbar Baloch had approached the court, challenging the notification of the provincial government.

The Services Tribunal Chairman Tareen ordered to set aside the notifications issued by the provincial government on 25-5-2023 and 27-3-23.
