PAC holds ‘Pakistan First’ flag rally

Independence Day celebrations in full swing as Pakistan marks 76 years since formation

The Punjab Arts Council (PAC) on Sunday organised a flag rally to commence Independence Day celebrations.

The Sab Se Pehle Pakistan (Pakistan first) rally, led by PAC Director Waqar Ahmed started at Murree Road and ended at the PAC.

The rally was accompanied by a musical band playing national anthems.

Anjum Khabibi, Yar Muhammad Khan, and dozens of artists including Raja Abdul Sattar, Arshad Minhas, Sapna Shah, Saeed Anwar Afzal Latifi, Arshad Khan, Anjam Abbasi participated in the event.

Other than the artists, citizens, and students of the arts council also sang songs, expressing solidarity with Pakistan.

The participants of the rally held the Pakistan flag in their hands and chanted Pakistan Zindabad. Addressing the rally, Waqar Ahmed congratulated the participants on the commencement of Independence Day celebrations and said great nations celebrate their Independence Day with full enthusiasm.

Waqar Ahmed further said there is no substitute for freedom in the world. We should be grateful to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal, because of whom we are breathing in a free world.

He further said that PAC will organise various events till August 14.
