Exhibition: TDAP to set up Pakistan pavilion

KARACHI: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) is setting up a large “Pakistan Pavilion” at the first China-Eurasia Expo to be held in Urumqi, China, to display a wide range of export-quality products highlighting the industrial progress achieved by Pakistan.

TDAP sources said on Monday that the expo was aimed at boosting regional economic cooperation among Asian and European countries besides expanding collaboration in multilateral fields.

The highlight of this expo will be the “1+9” forums, including the China Eurasia Forum on Economic Development and Cooperation. The Chinese government will also hold nine ministerial high-level forums during the event.

A Chinese cultural exhibition will take place during the expo. The event is likely to be visited by dignitaries from various Asians and European countries. TDAP, in collaboration with the Pakistan embassy in Beijing, is also organising the fourth Pak-China Business Forum on September 2 in Urumqi. Meetings of Pakistani businessmen will also be arranged with their Chinese and European counterparts on this occasion. Thirty top businessmen are participating in this forum, representing different business sectors of Pakistan.
