LAHORE:

The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and the Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) have joined hands in a bid to enhance the economic wellbeing of Pakistan.

LCCI President Kashif Anwar emphasised the beneficial aspect of collaboration for the business communities of Lahore and Multan, which would enable them to explore new trade and investment opportunities.

He announced that an exhibition displaying products of MCCI’s craftsmen and SMEs from Lahore would be organised to promote their work.

Speaking about the prevailing economic challenges in Pakistan, the LCCI chief underlined the importance of adopting a collective approach to overcome them.

“One crucial factor contributing to the devaluation of Pakistani rupee is the rising imports, which need to be curtailed before focusing on boosting exports,” he remarked. “By leveraging the unique strengths of both chambers, their alliance can bring about a positive change on the economic front.”

Anwar highlighted the need for greater awareness of latest business methodologies to deepen Pakistan’s impact at the international level.

Speaking on the occasion, MCCI President Mian Rashid Iqbal asserted that the collaboration would further bolster inter-chamber interaction.

Both chambers acknowledged that branding and innovative approaches were the key to the success of businesses looking for global outreach.
