Nurses to urgently get leave for foreign jobs

'Applications may be submitted at a facilitation centre along with employment offer from a health facility abroad'

LAHORE:

The Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department has decided to process the applications for ex-Pakistan leave of nurses working under its control on an urgent basis after removing hurdles in their overseas employment.

The department has issued guidelines to facilitate the nurses serving on various posts on a regular basis in BS-16 to BS-19 for ex-Pakistan leave for overseas employment.

The applications may be directly submitted at a facilitation centre along with employment offer letters from a health facility abroad and they shall be decided within four working days.

Primary and Secondary Healthcare Minister Dr Jamal Nasir stated that local patients and hospitals would benefit from the experience gained the nurses abroad, while remittances sent by them would also be a service for national cause as Pakistan was in need of foreign exchange.
