In a startling revelation, police on Monday claimed that the murder of brother and nephew of MPA Aslam Abro was the result of personnel enmity.
Police suspect that Zubair Shahwani of Quetta and his partners were involves in the murder of Akram Abro and Shaheryar Abro the brother and nephew of MPA Aslam Abro. The Abros were ambushed in Phase VII DHA near Ayesha Mosque.
According to South Zone DIG Irfan Ali Baloch, initial investigation revealed that Shahwani and his men had a dispute with Aslam Abro over a piece of land in the jurisdiction of Gulshan e Maymar police station.
In 2019, the two parties had an armed clash over the plot resulting in the death of three people including Asif Shahwani. Subsequently, a case was registered against MPA Aslam Abro and others.
DIG Baloch said that initial investigations suggest that Zubair Shahwani allegedly killed Akram and Sheherya to exact revenge of the murder of his nephew Asif Shahwani.
Moreover, the car used in the incident was in possession of Zuabir.
DIG Baloch said apparently it seems that the murder of brother and nephew of MPA Aslam Abro was a result of personnel enmity, "but we are investigating all dimensions of the case."
He said that five or six people could be involved in the double murder. The suspects had launched the attack after proper monitoring.
