Inauguration: Islamabad-Murree Expressway
Gilani unveiled the plaque of the four-lane 50km-long winding road through the picturesque Murree hills

Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Tuesday inaugurated the over Rs12 billion Islamabad-Murree Expressway, terming it a new strategic link with Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK.) Gilani unveiled the plaque of the four-lane 50km-long winding road through the picturesque Murree hills and addressed a large gathering of workers of Pakistan Peoples Party from the nearby areas. The Expressway would divide the traffic burden on the older route to Murree and has been constructed along a new alignment in the hilly terrain. Special considerations for structural design have been kept in view to check landslides and to make the travel safe.
