Designer made clear that there are no romantic feelings between him and the renowned star

Renowned fashion designer Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, popularly known as HSY, graced the set of The Knock Knock Show with Mohib Mirza and gave an intimate glimpse into his personal life, discussing matters of the heart, his humble upbringing, and the source of his fashion inspiration.

During the candid interview, HSY was asked about his views on marriage, to which he responded with a surprising but heartfelt choice. When hypothetically asked who he would marry if forced at gunpoint, the designer's response revealed his deep appreciation for the value of friendship in a relationship. The atelier expressed that he would choose the talented actor Mehwish Hayat as his life partner due to the strong bond of friendship they share. 

“If someone ever compels me to marry at gunpoint, I would choose Mehwish Hayat," said HSY. "Friendship holds great importance in any relationship.” However, he clarified that they were not romantically involved but cherished their close relationship as friends. “Let me be clear that there are no romantic feelings between us, but our friendship is exceptionally strong and precious," said the Ishrat: Made In China star. The connection between HSY and Mehwish is not unfamiliar to fans, as the two have previously collaborated on the telefilm Ijaazat, further solidifying their friendship in the entertainment industry.

Delving into his early life, HSY shared a touching account of his childhood, which played a significant role in shaping his illustrious career in fashion design. Growing up in a financially challenged family, HSY revealed how he discovered his passion for fashion by flipping through old magazines during his visits to the grocery store where his mother worked. His curious eyes observed the intricate designs and looks showcased in those magazines, sparking a desire to emulate the styles of renowned designers like Calvin Klein and Donna Karan.

The eminent designer further opened up about a pivotal moment during his childhood that became a lasting source of inspiration for him. As an infant, HSY spent time in London while his mother was on a job hunt. It was during this time that the royal wedding of Lady Diana and Prince Charles captured the world's attention. HSY recalled being perched on his mother's shoulders, witnessing the grandeur of the royal wedding and the euphoria of millions of people who celebrated the event. This awe-inspiring moment left an indelible impression on young HSY's mind.

“My childhood was spent in New York City, and later, during our time in London, I had the opportunity to witness Princess Diana’s wedding, an event that remains vivid in my memory," revealed HSY. Furthermore, he added, "At that young age, amid the crowd, I saw Princess Diana in her exquisite white dress, and people were praising her beauty. This sight left a lasting impression on me. When I returned home after the wedding, I began creating paper dolls, dressing them in attire similar to Princess Diana’s, and I adorned my sister’s doll with it.”

The interview on The Knock Knock Show gave viewers a rare glimpse into the personal side of HSY, highlighting the significance of friendship, the influence of his childhood encounters, and the enduring allure of fashion that continues to define his illustrious career.
