LAHORE:

Police investigations have revealed that two minor brothers who were allegedly kidnapped from Green Town a few days ago while going to the madrassah had actually left home consciously to watch a movie and hang out in another city.

Muhammad Aslam, the father of the victims, had filed a case on July 14 stating that his sons, Muhammad Iliyas, 10 and Muhammad Waqas, 7, went to the madrassah but did not return.

Despite a long search for them, they could not be found, leading to fears of a kidnapping.

The police registered a case and initiated an investigation.

SSP Anoush Masood, leading the investigations, mentioned that the Lahore police had launched a social media campaign to aid in their recovery by sharing the details of the missing boys.

Upon noticing the victims on social media, the Daska Police collaborated with the Lahore Police to facilitate their recovery.

With the assistance of the Daska Police, the boys were brought back to Lahore. During the investigation, it was revealed that the victims would also recite Naats Sharif and had collected money from it.

They had devised a plan to use the money for a hangout. As per their plan, they left home for the madrassah but instead went to the cinema for four consecutive days to watch movies, not returning home.

Fearing their parents' scolding, they then decided to go to their uncle's home in Daska. However, they forgot the address and couldn't reach their destination. Meanwhile, the police and family members had been searching for them.

Eventually, the Daska and Lahore Police spotted them, brought them back to Lahore, and handed them over to their family.
