The launch of the Rescue 1122 Ambulance Service in Tando Muhammad Khan was marked by a ceremony held at Indus Medical College. Led by Haji Rasool Bakhsh Chandio, the Adviser to the Chief Minister of Sindh on Rehabilitation and Relief, the event aimed to provide essential healthcare services to the district. Haji Rasool Baksh highlighted that 230 ambulances have already been distributed across 17 districts in Sindh, with plans to expand to more districts in the near future. As part of the initiative, five state-of-the-art ambulances were allocated to the District Health Officer of Tando Muhammad Khan, equipped with modern facilities, trained staff, and medications. These ambulances can be accessed by dialling 112 and are equipped to handle various emergencies, ensuring timely transportation to hospitals.

Syed Ijaz Shah Bukhari, a member of the Sindh Assembly, emphasised that these ambulances would address the shortage in the district and enable prompt hospital access for residents. Brigadier Tariq Qadir, the Chief Executive Officer of Rescue 1122, mentioned that these ambulances are equipped with advanced life support technology, including cardiac management, ventilators, gynaecology kits, trauma kits, and first aid supplies. He also highlighted the free-of-cost nature of these modern ambulances, a rarity in many countries.

The event saw other notable figures, including Abdul Karim Soomro and Dr Laxman Das from the Sindh Assembly, Dr Muhammad Iqbal Memon from Indus Medical College, and local government officials. The participation of PPP workers and the support from various political, social, and community stakeholders added to the event's significance.
