Man held for forcing wife into ‘pornography’

FIR states victim raped at gunpoint by main accused's friend, who still remains at large

RAWALPINDI:

In a significant development, police have rounded up a man accused of forcing his wife to perform sex with his friends for recording a pornographic video two weeks after the incident was reported.

Police sources said Muhammad Naveed, the main accused in the case, was taken into custody while his accomplice, Amir Qureshi, was still at large.

Kallar Syedan police had registered a case on the complaint of the victim – a married woman – under the relevant provisions about two weeks ago.

The police stated that the victim filed a police report on June 30 and made serious allegations against her spouse following which a high-level team was formed to investigate the case and immediately apprehend the suspect in light of the seriousness of the charges.

Sources said the police team toiled hard for the arrest of the complainant’s husband Naveed, who is the main accused in the case.

In the First Information Report (FIR) of the incident, the complainant claimed that her husband had called his friend Amir Qureshi at home who raped her while holding a pistol to her head.
