Ten-year-old Rizwan, a thalassemia patient hailing from Tehsil Darya Khan, was granted his wish of commanding Bhakkar Police. DPO Bhakkar Mohammad Naveed appointed the child DPO Bhakkar for one day and allowed him to issue orders to active officers.
When the young child reached the police station in the DPO’s car, he was received with full departmental honor by the present DPO along his personnel. He also issued orders to the relevant officers after listening to the problems of the citizens. Rizwan expressed gratitude over receiving his last wish.
Rizwan has been fighting a battle between life and death due to thalassemia, requiring a steady supply of blood in order to breathe. So far, he has received around 2,500 bottles of blood. Around 450 children are currently suffering from this disease in Bhakkar district.
DPO Bhakkar Muhammad Naveed Qureshi expressed his happiness over the fulfillment of Rizwan’s request and expressed his determination to continue such positive initiatives in the future.
